Logo design

Designing a logo is very often the process of seeing how much we can remove and still have the graphic clearly represent the company, product or concept. Simplicity usually works best. Above are twelve examples of logo designs that we produced over the years. They have all been stripped of any associated typography in order to demonstrate their basic structure.

1. Capitol Square. Still our favourite. A square intersecting a circle is about as simple as you can get! See it in action.

2. Sydney Entertainment Centre. The shape suggests both the actual building and also the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The spotlights just say entertainment.

3. Prysm Consulting.

4. Zenburger.

5. Genesys Wealth Advisers.

6. Funds Management Australia. The graphic device in the middle suggests a chart of steadily increasing profits.

7. NSW Government Consumer Protection Awards. The actual award was designed to mimic the logo when viewed from the front.

8. Local Government Electricity Association Quality Award. The zap of electricity creates the quality 'Q'. The award itself was designed so that the plan view replicated the logo.

9. Mindcare Centre. This logo for a leading mental healthcare clinic uses a 'brain' device encompassed by caring 'hand like' curves. The colours are deliberately pastel and soothing. Printed collateral and interiors were designed as part of the identity.

10. The Wilson Agency.

11. Youth Music Australia.

12. Chemical Engineering Foundation.
